Planned Breeding - Abraham & Destiny

We are planning to repeat the breeding of Destiny to Abraham, and will be holding puppies back for Search & Rescue training.

Most of the puppies in the litter will become available at 12-16 weeks for the general public, and will have received their Puppy Obedience Training.

I will release puppies as early as 8 weeks to qualified show, search, and working homes, but documentation will be required.

I understand there will be people who are upset over this decision, but please understand: whereas the intention of most people is good, people just don't seem to find the time to properly train and socialize their new puppy. Early training is necessary, and as of today, I have heard no complaints from the new owners of our trained puppies.

More information will be posted in the near future.

News from January 2007

Guarantee Only --> Guarantee + Contract
Beginning in 2007, we are changing from just a guarantee for our Rottweiler puppies, to both a Rottweiler Puppy Guarantee and a Purchase Contract. The guarantee will remain the same with a full two year guarantee on both hips and congenital health. The Purchase Contract, which is new, will replace the Spay/Neuter Policy and Chaining Policy paperwork, and will add provisions for our expectations for Training and Socialization.

Rottweiler Puppies with Tails
Also new for 2007, we will begin leaving tails on some of our litters of puppies. Unless you choose to place a 50% non-refundable deposit on your puppy before the puppies are born, you can plan for your puppy to have a tail. We do remove rear dewclaws.

The tail exception will be the planned breeding of Always MacKay V Madden, aka: Destiny, grand-daughter to Am/Int Ch Kostlich Maverick Von Ursa, to Bruno Black Iron Rott, son of Bronko Od Dragicevica, 2001 World Champion. We hope to produce show quality puppies from this breeding, and begin showing our Rottweilers. (Mentoring welcome!)

Trained Rottweiler Puppies
Puppy Obedience Training will come free of charge with each Rottweiler puppy. Puppies will need to stay until they are 12 weeks old, or will need to return at 10 weeks to receive their training.

Basic and Advanced Obedience Training is also available through Elite K9 Training, LLC, as well as training for Show and Search & Rescue. These types of training are made available at an additional charge.

K9 Supply Store
MacKay Kennels will soon carry a line of dog supplies with the Rottweiler in mind.
